Silver & Gelatin

Silver & Gelatin is the photographic alter ego of filmmaker Andrew Putschoegl, whose work explores themes of sexuality, masculinity and human connection. Originally from the American Midwest, Andrew moved to Los Angeles as a teenager to pursue a career in film, eventually discovering photography as a more personal, solitary form of storytelling. His approach emphasizes building trust with his subjects, often beginning with a coffee or meal, so that the resulting images reflect genuine warmth and intimacy. Through a gentle, collaborative process, Andrew captures moments that reveal the heart of his subjects, inviting viewers to see them with the same benevolent gaze.
