Matéo Picant Laurent is a designer, featherworker and artist. Multifaceted, he has developed in parallel to his work as an artisan a more intimate practice of drawing, focusing on portraiture and the male nude. Navigating between references to statuary, folktales and the homosexual imaginary, his portraits flirt with the rigour of academic drawing, nuanced by a fluid vaporous line borrowed from live sketching and experiences as a fashion illustrator.
