Alexandra Obochi

Alexandra Obochi is a Nigerian photographer and multidisciplinary creative based in Abuja. Her work is rooted in storytelling, using photography as a means of exploring identity, body politics, intimacy, and belonging within contemporary African contexts. Working across portraiture and staged imagery, she creates deeply personal yet socially resonant narratives that centre marginalized bodies and experiences particularly those of women and queer communities. Her images often challenge dominant visual cultures by reimagining beauty, softness, and presence as sites of power rather than limitation.
